The Tankwa Karoo is one of my favourite places on earth. I often camp out here alone. Just me and the desert. No water, no electricity, no signal, no people. Nothing and everything. Bright blue skies flecked with clouds. Dust devils and jackals. Warm sunsets and night skies that glitter with a wonderland of stars. It's a place to breathe and to dream. I return dusty and new.
